On October 20, Pony.ai announced that it had signed a cooperation agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority of the United Arab Emirates and announced that it would join the Abu Dhabi Smart Driving Vehicle Industry Cluster (SAVI) being built in Masdar City. Abu Dhabi has built SAVI into a diversified intelligent transportation industry cluster integrating sea, land and air to accelerate the comprehensive deployment of advanced intelligent transportation. SAVI vigorously unites builders from all aspects of the industry, introduces the world's leading technology companies, creates a mature industrial chain, and ultimately accelerates the implementation of future mobility solutions in the UAE by encouraging investment and financing, innovation funding, and simplifying regulatory services. As previously reported by China Daily, Chinese car company Nezha Automobile also recently announced that it will join SAVI in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and open an R&D center and assembly plant there, becoming the company’s third R&D facility (the first two are in Shanghai and Hong Kong). It will also provide regional services including sales, marketing, import and export, and after-sales components.
